SAIE Infrastructures
Among the main news from Bari 2023 edition, SAIE Infrastructures enhanced the excellence of projects relating to bridges and viaducts, waterfronts and ports, railway stations and lines, roads and motorways, urban redevelopment, with a special focus on the development of infrastructures in the Apulia region and central – southern Italy. Special focuses were also dedicated to concrete and floorings.
SAIE Infrastructure Arena
The events programme of the SAIE Infrastructures Arena saw the collaboration between the main associations in the field and strategic corporate partners, who presented an update on the projects they are involved in.
SAIE Concrete Arena and Demostration Area
The national event dedicated to innovation in the concrete supply chain, involving all players who use concrete in constructions.
SAIE Floors and Coverings
The focus – in cooperation with CONPAVIPER association – dedicated to the world of flooring, highlighted manufacturers and applicators of screeds and subfloors, industrial and logistics flooring, concrete flooring, radiant flooring, installation machinery, resin flooring and coatings.
SAIE Sustainability
SAIE dedicates an in-depth look at the theme of sustainability, the leitmotif of many special initiatives, providing visiting professionals with an overview of the most effective and innovative solutions in the world of construction and building, protecting health, improving indoor well-being and the built environment in all its parts.
Energy Efficiency Square
A thematic area in which technical systems are integrated with building processes to meet the new demands generated by renovation, redevelopment and efficiency enhancement interventions also stimulated by Building Bonuses and EU directives. An overview of the solutions used in interventions in residential, industrial, commercial, schools and public buildings.
SAIE Windows and Doors
The thematic area that enhances and highlights the best of the production of those operating in the sector dedicated to the world of doors, windows, fixtures and related technological solutions.
ISI Seismic Square
An in-depth area entirely dedicated to seismic engineering, organized and managed in collaboration with ISI – Ingegneria Sismica Italiana and its members. An initiative that enhances seismic engineering through the presentation of products, projects and case histories of excellence.
Aluminum in Construction Square
The new initiative organized in cooperation with METEF (The Technology Exhibition for the Aluminum, Foundry and Innovative Metals Industry) that offers a comprehensive overview of the most innovative solutions and uses of aluminum in construction.
Off-site Integration Square
The place where you can meet the innovative companies that are investing in creating a new paradigm in construction, moving the production of integrated solutions to the factory floor to be installed in just a few days on site, capable of increasing productivity and guaranteeing high performance over the long term.
Technical Finishes and Colors
The technical and professional space where manufacturers of resins, mortars, dry systems and paint products meet professionals from the construction sector. The aim is to give visibility to finishing and coating techniques, application technologies and processes, material and aesthetic effects.
A.I.M.I. Plant Square
A.I.M.I. (Associazione Italiana Manutentori Installatori) participates in SAIE with a space in which mini-conferences are carried out with a focus on the world of thermohydraulics and on the integration between buildings and plants: from the novelties introduced by the new standards, to leak tests, to radiant systems. A rich panel of content, thanks to the collaboration with some partner companies, which also exhibited some products on the topics discussed.
CasaClima Village Square
For the first time at SAIE, the CasaClima Agency of Bolzano, in collaboration with its local energy consultants, has set up the CasaClima Village, an area where you can meet the exhibition stands of member companies to evaluate the latest product novelties and take part in in-depth events on the most topical issues of sustainable building.
The ClimateHouse Agency is a competence centre for energy efficiency and sustainability in construction, both for new buildings and for the redevelopment of existing ones. As a pioneer in this field since 2002, it has developed and continuously improved its standards, creating a whole family of quality seals for construction products and building certifications.
ClimateHouse is also a network of partnerships with leading companies in the field of quality construction. Thanks also to the contribution of partner companies and their expertise, the Agency can offer technicians, companies and clients services that are always up-to-date and verified in the field.
Ceramic and Brick Square – Confindustria Ceramica
An area promoted by Confindustria Ceramica, which was joined by the stands of some member companies producing bricks and tiles. The initiative focused on sustainability issues, and in particular on durability, maintenance of technical performance over time, healthfulness, thermal comfort and the potential for recycling, recovery and reuse of materials and products; in other words, on all the prerogatives of ceramic products. There will also be a corner for demonstrative experiences of laying large tiles by Assoposa’s Master Tilers.
SAIE People at the Centre
SAIE focuses on people and on the development of the skills of building and construction operators. Thanks to the collaboration with strategic corporate partners, associations, national bodies and training schools, are organized moments of demonstration, training, awarding and sharing of excellence in the Italian territory.
Cassa Edile Awards with CNCE
The award that the construction funds system recognizes every year to companies, workers and consultants who are ambassadors of positive values for the bilateral construction system.
Ediltrophy with FORMEDIL
A competition born in 2008 from the collaboration between FORMEDIL (National Board for Professional Training in Construction) and SAIE. It is a masonry art tournament that involves the excellence of building schools in Italy. The Ediltrophy national final was held at SAIE Bari on the morning of Saturday 21 October 2023, followed by the awards ceremony for the junior (apprentices) and senior (masters) categories.
Instagram Contest “The Beauty of Infrastructure – Bridges and Viaducts”
SAIE valorized and celebrated with a Contest the role of Bridges and Viaducts as aesthetic and/or structural elements, considering their evolution over time and the role they can play in the sustainable world of tomorrow.
Confindustria Ceramica installation Area
The Confindustria Ceramica Association setup, with the stands of 3 associated brick manufacturing companies (Fornaci DCB, SIAI and Wienerberger), also included a corner for demonstrations of installing large-sized tiles by Assoposa Master Tilers.
Agents Forum
A space dedicated to Commercial Agent Search organized in collaboration with Agent321, the largest Network of Websites for Commercial Agent Search worldwide. SAIE exhibitors interested in expanding their business network and finding new professionals who want to acquire new representative mandates were able to participate in meetings and appointments to meet and select active Sales Agents throughout Italy.
SAIE Innovation
A real focus, which brings together the emerging innovations in this field regarding digitalization, technological innovations and digital transformation, focusing on the need to promote innovation in the construction sector. A 360° innovation, which arises not only from new technologies and new processes, but also from the sharing of know-how.
Assobim Digitalization Square
An exhibition area dedicated to the themes of digitalization and BIM, which saw the participation of companies coordinated by ASSOBIM. ASSOBIM managed a series of technical insights together with its members to promote the diffusion of BIM.
Among the relevant topics: the integration between BIM and advanced data survey and processing technologies; BIM for project calculation; interoperability between different software platforms; BIM for design: infrastructural, plant engineering, structural, architectural.
AIST Technical Software Square
AIST, the Italian Technical Software Association, organized a series of conferences and technical insights with the involvement of member companies. Training moments dedicated to: designers, engineers, construction companies, public agencies and industry technicians.
AGENZIA DEL DEMANIO Square
Manager of the State’s assets and leader in the BIM sector among Public Administrations, participated in the fair organizing a focus dedicated to the themes of BIM, “Digital Heritage” and the valorization of State properties, to tell the story of the digitalization of the building process, and to present the Agency’s initiatives and projects dedicated to BIM together with their protagonists.
Integrated Design and Automation Demonstration Area – Indexlab
A space where Indexlab – an experimental laboratory at the Politecnico di Milano – promotes a new way of designing and constructing buildings through projects that help define potential development scenarios to stimulate and guide investments in the construction industry.
The projects have been outlined following a common approach and are characterized by some fundamental characteristics: flexibility, sharing, innovation, technology, self-sustainability, resilience.
BIM Workshops
Strategie Digitali collaborated with SAIE to include in the fair a program of BIM Workshops, designed to learn through action.
Six intensive courses, each lasting 75 minutes, ideal for deepening technical skills through specific training courses aimed at enhancing the BIM skills of event participants and returning home better prepared after the experience.
DIHCUBE, the Digital Italian Hub for Construction and Built Environment
DIHCUBE – Digital Italian Hub for Construction and Built Environment, coordinated by ANCE, is the Italian hub for innovation in the construction world that aims to increase levels of digitalization of the sector through services for the entire supply chain.
Contest BIM&DIGITAL Award
The contest was promoted by Clust-ER Build in collaboration with SAIE and ASSOBIM to take stock of innovation and digital transformation of the built environment. The primary objective of the award is to raise awareness of projects and works that take advantage of digital innovations (BIM but not only BIM); to reward industrial and University research as well as designers, companies, start-ups, and enterprises that have promoted new digital tools for the built environment.
SAIE Machinery and Equipment
The exhibition area created to respond to the new needs generated by the opening of construction sites who has been financed by the PNRR and construction BONUS, dedicated to manufacturers and distributors of machinery, equipment and technologies for the construction site: from earthmoving to lifting, from demolition to drilling, from quarry site equipment to road vehicles.
